Description
Gull Cottage is situated in the unspoilt village of Lee 400 yards from the beach. Lee Bay is situated on the coast between Woolacombe and Ilfracombe which are approximately three miles away. It has its own rocky and sandy beach loved by rock poolers and is to kayak enthusiasts what Woolacombe is to surfers. In addition Lee Bay beaches have no dog restrictions whatsoever, whatever the time of year. The old smugglers' path goes through the rocks from the beach to Sandy Cove also safe for swimmers and kayaks.
It’s a great place to chill, to picnic, play ball games or just watch for seals coming in from Lundy, the National Trust nature island. Cyclists can pick up the Tarka Cycle Trail at the head of the valley and cycle for safe mile after mile to their hearts content.
As well, Lee Bay is situated on the Coastal Path and is popular with walkers who can doddle along or stride out and enjoy as much spectacular scenery as they can handle. For those less active souls the tea room at the local pub serves cream teas and meals and a leisurely stroll in the Craft Shop can be lucrative! Alternatively, just sit back and relax. It’s a different experience from the big resorts with its own unique charm and character.

Justly famous as one of England’s finest destinations, South Devon has everything
